Warrior Wellness Program is honored to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring. This money will be used to provide 20 veterans with four sessions each of individualized Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based therapy that has been shown to achieve benefits more rapidly than other traditional therapies, usually seeing results in 1-5 sessions. ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories are stored in the brain so they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.
ART is the cornerstone of the Warrior Wellness Program. Warrior Wellness Program helps combat veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injuries. It does this through a week-long Accelerated Wellness Program, which offers these veterans and their significant others a week of reset, replenishment and rejuvenation.
In 2019, Warrior Wellness Program started offering stand-alone ART sessions to veterans in addition to our weeklong program,” said Patty Fried, Executive Director “Thanks to the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Giving grant, 20 veterans who are suffering from symptoms of post traumatic stress or traumatic brain injury will be able to find relief and hopefully some peace after participating in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
Warrior Wellness Program provides both individualized services and a five-day Accelerated Wellness Program, which uses Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and other alternative therapies to create a more healthy, connected and resilient veteran population. Since 2015, Warrior Wellness Program has served over 1000 veterans and their spouses. Those who have participated in the organizations services have experienced a 52% decrease in post-traumatic stress, a 62% reduction in depression and a 55% reduction in anxiety among other positive outcomes.
